First Michelin Exelagri Centre Appointed on Isle of Wight
ATS Euromaster’s centre in South Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, has been appointed as a Michelin Exelagri Centre through the tyre manufacturers’ national accreditation scheme for agricultural and construction specialists. In joining this select group of accredited Exelagri Centres, ATS Euromaster becomes the first tyre dealer on the Isle of Wight to be recognised by Michelin for its ability to supply a high quality service to customers in these two key business sectors.
Paul Murtha, manager of ATS Euromaster in Newport, says: “Over the last three years our sales in the agricultural and construction sectors have risen to represent nearly 40 per cent of our overall turnover, from an original base of less than 10 per cent.
“Being selected as the first Exelagri Centre on the Isle of Wight – and one of only 38 in the UK and Ireland – is testament to the reputation we have established with farmers and the construction trade locally. It gives customers the confidence to know that the services we offer have been endorsed by Michelin, and that our expertise in these sectors is second-to-none,” he explained.
Mike Phillips, Business Manager for Michelin Tyre plc, added: “Before being appointed as an Exelagri Centre, ATS Euromaster Newport had to pass a rigorous audit programme which ensures our approved dealers offer consistently high standards of service nationwide. This covers every aspect of the business, from ATS Euromaster’s ongoing staff training and performance through to stock levels, sales targets and ability to offer a full range of services – including tyre repairs, wheel alignments and mobile support.”
ATS Euromaster’s facility in Newport is the company’s fourth centre to be accredited to Michelin’s Exelagri programme, joining Ashford, Carmarthen and Salisbury. Newport is one of ATS Euromaster’s best performing agricultural centres which helped support its accreditation as an Exelagri Centre of excellence.
