Coal Distributor Switches to ATS Euromaster

Bagnalls, a Nationwide coal and slate distribution company, has appointed ATS Euromaster to manage tyres across its fleet of commercial vehicles. Bagnalls has reportedly opted for a joint Taurus and Bandvulc tyre fitment policy. The agreement will see ATS Euromaster support the company’s 17-strong fleet which ranges from Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans to 13 and 18 tonne Mercedes Benz Atego and Daf LF rigid bodied trucks.

Tony Lock, Bagnalls Works Foreman, explained: “The appointment of ATS Euromaster is part of a major investment programme for us that requires the support services of a specialist commercial vehicle tyre company with UK and European reach. Previously we have employed an independent tyre dealer, but we have seen an instant change in service levels since ATS Euromaster came on board. As a direct result I anticipate seeing a number of savings in the coming year, from extended tyre life to reduced call out charges for mobile fitters.”

Mr Lock continued: “All vehicles go out fully-laden for multi-drops across the UK on a mixture of road conditions from building sites to motorways or urban areas. We have spent time with ATS Euromaster analysing fleet usage to ensure the correct types of tyre are fitted to each vehicle and can really see a difference.”
