MTNA Produces 1,000,000th Ringtread

Last December, Marangoni management and employees celebrated the production of the millionth Ringtread in the United States. The seven-digit number was reached on December 12, four and a half years after the first tyre was retreaded with Marangoni’s Alpha-Ring system in the US.

During a staff celebration to mark the occasion, company CEO and president Bill Sweatman said “Today, we manufactured our one millionth Ringtread here in the United States. We are proud and thankful that we have been able to achieve this important milestone. This is the icing on the cake in a year full of successes! Our unit sales have increased more than 10 per cent this year and along with other improvements we’ve made we have gained in both market share and market strength.

“Our Dealers continued to build strength this year in their own markets by providing the best value to their fleet customers with the Ringtread as their new tyre alternative and their commercial tyre expertise and extensive service capabilities,” Sweatman added. “We are very proud of their success. Confidently, we look forward to setting goals for our next million Ringtreads made in America. With a lot of emphasis being paid by trucking fleets today to getting the total lowest cost per mile possible, retreading is getting a lot of attention. It’s a great time for Marangoni and it’s a great time for Ringtreading!”

Marangoni Tread N.A. was incorporated in 1998 and established its Nashville, Tennessee headquarters in 2002. Production at the site, which began in April 2004, doubled in capacity during September 2006, and in 2008 the company purchased its 100,000 square foot building and the surrounding 12 acres to facilitate future expansion. The company manufactures Ringtread retreads for their North American Dealer network and for Marangoni divisions in Europe and Brazil.
