Michelin to Pause Remix Production at Stoke Plant

Stoke based Michelin PR manager Paul Cordle informed Tyres & Accessories that UK media reports on the measures being taken are correct; the market remains very depressed, and therefore Michelin is proceeding with production halts in an attempt to prevent the need for employee redundancies. This possibility, however, cannot be absolutely ruled out. Stock levels at the facility are also being carefully monitored – overstocking is very costly, and at present the Stoke site possesses stock levels equivalent to 15 days’ production.
