Cambrian Tyres, the ‘Big Seven’ Distributor
Cambrian Tyres, said to be the UK’s largest motorcycle tyre distributor, continues to offer its dealers exclusive special offers and strong customer service. The ability to do this, says Cambrian, is down to the company’s bulk buying power capabilities and a dealer-centred philosophy. The distributor’s target of being a ‘one stop tyre shop’ for dealers has been realised since its early days, and today Cambrian reports it is the leading UK customer to each of the big seven tyre manufacturers.
Customer sales and technical enquiries are handled by Cambrian’s knowledgeable telesales team, a team that between them holds years of motorcycling and industry experience, enabling them to give customers what Cambrian Tyres calls the best, unbiased advice – advice that ensures the correct tyres are chosen. 2009 sees the company launch its B2B website where account holders can order tyres or view stock availability online, making ordering, whether within or outside business hours, even easier.
The company says its approach is to provide the best service on all seven major brands under one family banner, thus making Cambrian the only source a customer will need regardless of whether a Continental, Bridgestone, Avon, Dunlop, Michelin, Pirelli or Metzeler tyre us required. Cambrian Tyres’ dispatch department can accommodate orders late into the afternoon for next day delivery. Keeping that in mind, the company says that customers do not need to hold large stocks of motorcycle tyres and tubes when they have access to Cambrian’s vast product inventory on a next day basis; or, to put it another way, ‘if we don’t stock it, they don’t make it!’
The cambriantyres.co.uk website now includes a trade only sector that gives online access to the latest special offers and any new trade specific press releases and information from each of the seven tyre manufacturers. The site also features an all encompassing tyre fitment guide that covers all brands, and early in 2009 the B2B online stock ordering system will be instigated.
