Rema Tip Top Offers Run-Flat Mounting Solutions
A full product range should include something for every requirement and budget, and Rema Tip Top reports that its workshop equipment line-up includes run-flat solutions spanning the spectrum from entry level to high end solutions that will keep even the most demanding workshop happy.
The Butler Topline tyre changer is a superb introductory machine, reports Rema Tip Top. It adds that this unit represents an intelligent evolution to the award winning Airdraulic and Aircombi tyre changers. One of the new standard features on the Topline is the ‘safety belt’, which has been developed to reduce the mounting stress particularly whilst fitting low profile, UHP and self supporting tyres, thus preventing damage to any part of the tyre or rim.
Numerous optional extras can be added during the order process, including the ‘rimsled’ and air pressure multiplier. The air pressure multiplier, designed to multiply the air pressure for the tyre changer to the required level, is inherently useful in either a workshop environment or on the open road, says Rema Tip Top. The device multiplies the incoming (or available) pressure by two. However the entire system is still limited to a maximum pressure of 10 BAR or 145 PSI in order to avoid damage over the long-term to any of the machine’s vital components.
For automated operation, the latest model from Kendo provides a glimpse of what the future holds in store for run-flat mounting technology. The newest machine, launched at the recent Automechanika show, represents the middle entry range within this segment. The Kendo admittedly doesn’t feature quite so many bells and a few less whistles than the high end Aikido machine, but at the end of the day it is also powered by Aikido mounting technology, comments Rema Tip Top, and thus packs a familiar punch.
The new Aikido 34 is Rema Tip Top’s high-end ultimate tyre changer for professional workshop and tyre fitting environments. This tyre changing machine excels, says Rema Tip Top, through its patented mounting head that negates the use of tyre levers when mounting or demounting the tyre from the bead. The machine is suitable for tyre diameters up to 34-inch and can universally be used for all wheel-tyre combinations.
