Conti Supervisory Board Extends Dr. Neumann’s Contract

Continental AG’s Supervisory Board has extended Executive Board Chairman Automotive Group Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann’s contract for a further five years. Dr. Neumann, who is also head of the company’s Automotive Group, has been a member of Continental’s Executive Board since October 2004 and chairman of the Executive Board of Continental AG since September 1, 2008.

Dr. Neumann, who holds a doctor’s degree in electrical engineering, joined Volkswagen AG in 1999 after working at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits and Systems in Duisburg, Germany (1989-1993) and at Motorola GmbH (1993-1999) in Munich and Austin, Texas. There, he headed electronics research and the corporate-wide electronics strategy, as well as other areas.
