Cam Systems Welcomes Back Founding Director

Pete Morys has rejoined Cam Systems 15-years after he left to set up his own software company. Morys is one of the best-known faces in the IT market and was a pioneer in the development of the software on which the market-leading Cameo program is based. He was technical director at Cam Systems between 1981 and his departure 12 years later in 1993.

In his new role as business development manager Morys will draw on his enormous technical and commercial knowledge to help customers develop the efficiency and productivity of their IT systems. He will work alongside fellow BDM Steve Collins and report to commercial director Steve Daly.

Commenting on his appointment, Cam Systems managing director Mike Allen said: “Everyone in the tyre business knows Pete Morys and we’re delighted he has decided to return to the company where he spent his early years. When we discovered he had left the industry to work in the hotel trade it was an obvious move to try and bring him back to what he does best.”

Pete Morys added: “I’ve been away from Cam for longer than I actually spent here, but those formative years were a great grounding and of course I’ve followed their progress in the years since I left to set up MHA. I’m really pleased to be back and working alongside Mike and the rest of the team.”
