Avon Tyres to Attend Motorcycle Expo Show
Avon Tyres has announced its attendance at the 2009 Motorcycle Trade Expo. The company says it will make a large presence at Britain’s biggest motorcycle trade show, to be held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) on January 18 to 20, in order to demonstrate the importance it places in communicating the potential of the newly unveiled VP2 range to existing and potential new dealers.
The three-strong range of high performance sports tyres – Sport, Supersport and Xtreme – replaces the Viper series that was launched in 2005. Along with many new technical features and construction methods employed in VP2, the new tyre includes Avon’s first use of multi-compound technology.
Key representatives from Avon’s sales, marketing and technical teams will also be on hand throughout the show to reaffirm the values and capabilities of Avon’s motorcycle range, which includes the Cobra, Storm-ST and Roadrider, to the 6,300 plus trade members expected to pass through the show’s gates.
“With such an exciting product range in place for 2009, there’s no better place then Expo for Avon to meet existing or potential customers,” comments Avon’s Gary Bretherton, UK motorcycle sales manager. “Where our competitors might be tightening their budgets right now, hopefully our attendance at the show underlines the importance Avon places on the motorcycle market.”
Avon Tyres will be at home on stand number 530 at the exhibition. More information on the show can be found at www.motorcycle-expo.com.
