Kwik-Fit Fleet Extends Contract With Lombard
Lombard Vehicle Management has extended its long-standing business partnership with Kwik-Fit Fleet through to the end of 2009. The new agreement sees Kwik-Fit Fleet supply a range of fast-fit services through its 675-strong nationwide network of centres and 200-strong mobile operation to Lombard, which manages a fleet of more than 115,000 cars and light commercial vehicles.
The relationship between Europe’s largest independent fast-fit company and the UK’s largest asset finance company dates back about 15 years, during which time Kwik-Fit Fleet has been the major provider of fast-fit services to Lombard. Kwik-Fit Fleet will increase its share of the business following signing the new deal. Lombard has moved from utilising a total of three fast-fit suppliers to a dual supply arrangement, with Kwik-Fit Fleet expecting to secure an additional slice of business.
The new agreement embraces tyre repair and replacement across the Lombard fleet as well as mechanical work and Kwik-Fit Fleet undertaking MoTs at its centres. The company also provides an out-of-hours driver helpline service through its Tannochside call centre.
“We have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Kwik-Fit Fleet over the last 15 years,” said Rob Bailey, head of Lombard Vehicle Management. “The growth in our customer base together with our commitment to adding value means it is even more important that our business partners can meet our customers’ needs. Kwik-Fit Fleet has demonstrated that it has the capability, flexibility, resource and commitment to meet our requirements now and going forward.”
Mike Wise, head of Kwik-Fit Fleet, added: “Securing the new contract with Lombard further cements our relationship with one of the UK’s largest fleet suppliers. A combination of proactive vehicle management initiatives, competitive pricing across all tyre brand ranges and accurate invoicing were instrumental in our success.”
