Goodyear Appoints Nolan to Senior HR Position
As of December 8, Goodyear Tire & Rubber will have a new director of Global Talent Management, Development and Diversity. The company announced on November 25 the appointment of Sherry Nolan to the position, which will be based at the company’s headquarters in Akron, Ohio. Nolan will report directly to Joe Ruocco, senior vice president of human resources.
In this new role, Nolan, 40, will develop and lead the company’s business-wide initiatives and programs for executive and associate recruitment and retention, performance management, talent development and succession planning. In addition, she will lead Goodyear’s diversity efforts on a global basis. “Sherry has a proven track record of effectively partnering with operational and functional leaders to impact the business agenda,” said Joe Ruocco. “Plus her experience in developing and driving talent management and diversity initiatives well equips her to enhance Goodyear’s leadership pipeline and development.”
Nolan brings to Goodyear nearly 20 years of business-related and broad-based human resources experience. For the past eight years, she has held various human resources leadership positions at The Pepsi Bottling Group, where most recently she was responsible for Worldwide Diversity & Organizational Capability. In that role, Nolan led Pepsi Bottling’s global talent management, leadership development and diversity/inclusion initiatives. In previous positions, her experience has included organisational development, staffing, labour relations, succession planning and change management.
