Sheppard Takes the Helm at Manbat
Manbat Batteries Ltd has announced a major restructuring of its Shrewsbury based senior management team. As a planned action during the second of Manbat’s five year rolling business planning, long-term managing director Roger Pemberton has moved to become the executive chairman, making way for Steve Sheppard to move from his position of sales director and take the reins as Manbat’s managing director.
These changes compliment the appointments of Alan Grey as operations director, Amanda Tomlinson as quality assurance manager, Myles Pemberton as marketing manager and Martin McGreevy as national sales manager.
Commenting on the changes executive chairman Roger Pemberton said: “These management changes are the final pieces in a restructuring jigsaw designed to strengthen Manbat’s management team and enable the business to continue to expand further. By relieving me of the day-to-day running of the business, I can concentrate on the overall strategy, while Steve will be free to address the immediate issues and allow Manbat to capture an increasing share of the UK and European battery market.”
“Under Roger’s excellent guidance Manbat has grown into the UK’s largest automotive battery distributor,” added new managing director Steve Sheppard. “The management changes we have implemented are designed to continue the company’s growth, while retaining its core strengths.”
