New Michelin Website
Michelin is reportedly attracting increasing levels of traffic to its website (Michelin.co.uk) after launching a brand new, more customer focused version. The new site recognises the changes that Michelin has been through in the last few years, but also the trends in design and presentation of content. The increased popularity of widescreen monitors for example has allowed Michelin a bigger canvas to offer more content throughout the site.
The revamp is representative of Michelin in 2008, as the UK & Ireland webmaster, Andrew Clarke, explains: “After a year in the making, this new website is certainly lighter, brighter and more informative than previous versions. We’ve focused on bringing the most popular content right up front to the home page so that visitors have to work less. If you need detail, you won’t be disappointed either, we’re providing more information on our products too.
“I believe this is the most consumer focussed website of any leading tyre manufacturer and the best one we’ve built, however, development work on the site is a continual process and visitors can expect to see more and better content in the coming months. Early indications are that it’s popular with visitors, too.”
