Micheldever Promotes Carter and Burgess
Paul Carter has been appointed to the position of national and key accounts sales manager within Micheldever’s wholesale division. Carter, who Micheldever managers described as “a key element” in MTS wholesale’s growth,” joined the company when it acquired Southam tyres in 2001. Jason Burgess (who joined Micheldever as Kumho Brand manager earlier this year) will also be joining the MTS Wholesale senior management team as national field sales manager.
Paul Carter will now take on direct responsibility for all of Micheldever’s national and key accounts, a new high level role within the senior management structure of MTS wholesale division. Previously his responsibilities included management of the Field Sales Team, and satellite sales offices.
Carter will report directly to Alan Baldwin, MTS Wholesale director. “Paul has earned enormous respect from our customers and sales staff during his career with MTS, and will continue to develop both our Wholesale customer base and to support their loyalty. I’m delighted our key accounts are in such safe hands,” Alan Baldwin commented.
Jason Burgess will assume overall responsibility for the MTS team of business development managers and brand managers, and will spearhead development and support of the company’s house brands through the Kumho and Falken Dealer networks. Burgess will retain his previous Kumho brand manager responsibilities within his new role, while direct control of the Falken brand will remain with Jon Limmer. Limmer has reportedly been responsible for the UK becoming Falken’s fastest growing market.
Alan Baldwin concluded: “Our continued growth demands investment in the best people. They are the lifeblood of our business and will ensure our business and its sales force delivers the best service and value to our customers, without who’s support no business can succeed. Our unique strategy of supporting the independent tyre dealer will continue.”
