Micheldever Chooses Syncron Supply Chain Management Software
Micheldever Tyre Services, arguably the UK’s largest tyre wholesaler operation, has selected Syncron software to reduce inventory levels, increase availability and reduce operating costs. Micheldever has reportedly licensed Syncron’s Supply Chain Planning solution to achieve more efficient management of its supply chain. According to the company, the new system will help Micheldever reduce inventory levels, increase availability and reduce the cost of purchasing. The solution is also expected to reduce the amount of inter-location trucking between Micheldever distribution network outlets.
“As we continue our expansion strategy, a unified supply chain process will be absolutely critical to our success. We needed a standard solution that could be rapidly deployed to provide tangible results in our business within the next financial year,” says Mike Flood, Operation Director at Micheldever Tyre Services. “Syncron demonstrated that its technology could be easily implemented despite the complexity of our supply chain, with no changes required to our existing infrastructure.”
Syncron was selected after a rigorous evaluation process where 29 software vendors were compared. The Syncron Supply Chain Planning solution will be implemented as a process layer on top of Micheldever Tyre Services’ existing ERP system.
