Mak XLR – Matt is the New Gloss
If white is now the new black, then Revolution Motorstore says matt is most definitely the new gloss. Celebrating this new trend in some considerable style, Revolution presents its latest visual feast, the Mak XLR Ice Black. This lightweight multispoke design wheel marries ultra light weight with strength and design integrity. As with most Mak wheels, the XLR is available in a wide range of stud patterns to suit the vast majority of European, Japanese and Tuner cars. Initial sizes will be 17 and 18-inch, with 16-inch to follow soon.
The XLR’s definite trump card, says Revolution, is its stunning finish. Ditching the traditional hi-gloss finish in preference for a two tone appearance that the tuning specialist says defines the shape of the wheel and adds to its subtle aggression. By walking a fine line between both a sports and prestige appearance, the XLR should look as much at home on a Type R as it does on an R32.
Prices start from £549 for a 16-inch wheel and tyre package. Additional details can be found at the company’s revolution247.com website.
