Bridgestone Runflats OE Option on 2009 US RAV4

When the upcoming 2009 Toyota RAV4 Sport is released in the US, it will be available with Bridgestone Dueler run-flat tyres as part of the optional Sport Appearance Package, reports the tyremaker.

Buyers will thus, says Bridgestone, experience the outstanding performance and quiet comfort of the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 run-flat in size P235/55R18 99H. The tyre – the first-ever run-flat application on the RAV4 – has reinforced sidewalls utlising proprietary Bridgestone Side Support Run-Flat technology to support the vehicle in case of a loss of air pressure. The highly reinforced structure of the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 RFT has been specifically designed to complement the ride and handling characteristics of Toyota’s popular SUV, Bridgestone adds.

The 2009 Toyota RAV4 will arrive at US dealerships in early September. Presently, 15 other North American market Toyota vehicles come standard with Bridgestone and/or Firestone-brand tires, including the Avalon, Camry, Camry Solara, Corolla, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Matrix, Prius, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra and Yaris.
