Australian Goodyear Dunlop Distributor Renews Supply Contract
Supply chain management specialist Ceva Logistics has in Australia renewed its national distribution contract with South Pacific Tyres, a move that should consolidate the tyre distributor’s supply chain operations. Ceva provides warehousing, transport and logistics services to the operator of the Beaurepaires, Goodyear Autocare and Dunlop Super Dealer retail channels and distributor of the Goodyear and Dunlop passenger and commercial tyre brands.
The partnership between South Pacific Tyres and Ceva began in 2006 with an agreement to provide warehouse and distribution services of tyres and other products from sites across Australia, including Victoria, New South Wales. It will now extend to 2013 and provide Ceva with the capability to further consolidate South Pacific Tyres’ national supply chain operations, reports Ceva Australia managing director Howard Critchley.
“We have succeeded in growing and adapting our service solution while integrating all aspects of South Pacific Tyres logistics chain to ensure that we keep one step ahead of their requirements,” said Critchley.
According to South Pacific Tyres Australia chief executive Judith Swales, the new deal further strengthens a valuable partnership. “This contract extension is the result of significant improvements in our supply chain offering across both our wholesale and retail businesses over the last two years,” she said. “South Pacific Tyres takes pride in its advantaged supply chain which helps satisfy our customer requirements as efficiently as possible. We are now well placed to drive forward initiatives and continuously improve our offering in partnership with CEVA moving forward.”
