Winner of Toyo Tires Motorshow Competition Collects Mazda2
Dominique Taylor from Chorleywood is set to enjoy a weekend behind the wheel of a Mazda2 supermini after winning the fabulous prize in a competition run by Japanese tyre manufacturer Toyo Tyres. The competition, held at the recent British International Motor Show, tasked visitors to the Toyo Tires stand with answering a simple question for the chance to win a range of exciting prizes.
“I’m thrilled to have won the Mazda2 Sport 5dr for the weekend,” exclaimed Dominique. “It’s a wonderful car with a really great design. It’s extremely agile too so it is perfect for driving around town.”
Tony Thomas, dealer principal at Milcars Mazda Watford, presented Dominique with the keys to her prize car. “I am delighted to hand over this prize to Dominique,” declared Tony. “The Mazda2 now holds the title of ‘World Car of the Year 2008’ and is one of the very best cars available in the supermini market. And with new Toyo Tires fitted on the car we are sure she will have a lot of safe, fun driving it this weekend.”
Introduced in September 2007, the Mazda2 5dr broke the industry trend for increasing weight and size with each successive replacement model. Thanks to Mazda’s weight-reducing ‘gram strategy’, the new Mazda2 is 100kg lighter leading to excellent fuel consumption – up to 65.7mpg. It also gives the range a CO2 emissions rating starting at 114g/km, equating to an annual road tax rate of just £35. All Mazda2 cars are fitted with Toyo Tires as original fitment.
The new three-door version of the Mazda2 is also available at Milcars Mazda Watford, starting at just £8,099 on-the-road for the 1.3 petrol 75ps 3dr TS model, while the five-door hatchback is priced from just £8,599.
