Sealey’s Aids To Servicing

Sealey’s Autumn 2008 Vehicle Service Tools promotion features hundreds of products and tools for the workshop or garage, including more than 70 new products.

Some of these are basic, simple ideas which are nevertheless extremely useful when servicing vehicles. One such is the VS0140 Bonnet/Tailgate support – as the name suggests, it is primarily used to prop open bonnets and tailgates, but it can be used to hold open doors, or depress accelerator, brake or clutch pedals.

The telescopic function features three tiers, for ease of storage and ease of use and it locks into position with a simple twist of the wrist. Rubber pads at each end ensure non-slip support.

Slightly more sophisticated is the PP5 – a new Integrated Test Light/Voltmeter. With a range of 3-48V DC, it is very versatile, being suitable for motorcycles, cars and HGVs. The LCD meter draws minute currents, making the tool safe to use round delicate electronic components. t is supplied with interchangeable probes, leads and clips and, as part of the Sealey promotion, comes with a free Jumper Test Lead set, with five pairs of leads.
