Continental Tyres has appointed Jason Stephenson as sales development manager for Ultra High Performance tyres. The role looks into all aspects of Continental’s ultra high performance (UHP) business bringing together marketing, supply chain and sales with a view to maximising Continental’s presence in the UHP market.
Prior to taking up this position Stephenson spent over five years as an account manager in the tyre industry having worked across all channels of distribution. Before that, he held sales and marketing positions in other industries including direct marketing and publishing.
As sales development manager for UHP, Jason Stephenson is now responsible for car tyres 17 inches and above plus all 4×4 tyres: “I am looking forward to getting my teeth into the role. It’s a great mix of lots of disciplines working with colleagues across all departments in the business.”
National Accounts sales director Ian Morgan said; “Jason’s varied experience will really add something to this role and focus our activities for our ultra high performance tyres. With car manufacturers demanding larger rim sizes and lower profiles, 17-inches and above market has grown substantially over recent years. Having a specialist working in this area, Continental can continue to ensure that we are providing all our UHP customers with a market leading service.”
