Rudd Joins UK Batteries
UK Batteries has appointed Keith Rudd as its new product manager. As the fastest-growing independent battery distributor in today’s market, the Manchester-based company reports that it is always striving to make sure its product offering meets the needs of its customers and Rudd’s appointment is key to meeting that objective. Rudd’s appointment follows Bob Price’s recent decision to leave Exide and head to UK Batteries as its deputy managing director.
Rudd joins UK Batteries from Exide Batteries where he spent 10 years as product manager and developed a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable figures in the UK battery market. His passion for batteries was ignited in 1977 when he started working for Chloride Gaedor and he has spent his entire 30-year career in the battery sector.
UK Batteries’ managing director, Chris Taylor, said: “I’m delighted that Keith has chosen to join us because he is without doubt one of the most knowledgeable people in the UK when it comes to battery technology and the market. He has invaluable qualities and will be instrumental in our continued growth as a business.”
