Hofmann Megaplan Go Posh
Hugely successful and full of ambition– a description that could be applied to both tyre equipment supplier Hofmann Megaplan and League One Football outfit Peterborough United, and the 2008/2009 football season will see the pair join forces as ‘The Posh’ target promotion to The Championship with Hofmann Megaplan as one of their commercial partners.
Hofmann Megaplan have become official sponsors to the Cambridgeshire team, whose ground is only a short drive up the A1 from the company’s HQ, and whose terraces have been a regular haunt for Hofmann Megaplan MD James Boon for the last 20 years.
The sponsorship deal means that Hofmann Megaplan will be able to make use of the club’s facilities and their own hospitality suite outside of matchdays, providing meeting and training opportunities in a novel location for customers and distributors.
“Obviously as a lifelong fan it is really exciting to be involved with the club, especially at such an exciting time in their history,” comments James. “The club is full of great characters and you can literally feel the enthusiasm around the place when you meet the people, and I’d like to think that’s a mentality we share.”
TV personality and Peterborough United Director of Football, Barry Fry, is pictured with James at the recent, official ‘handover’ of the hospitality suite.
