Treadsetters Aiming to Increase Durun Sales 400%
Following the supply deal negotiated with UK Tyre Group during last year’s Brityrex exhibition, the next move for the Durun brand is the introduction of a truck tyre portfolio. Treadsetters representatives told Tyres & Accessories, that customers would be able to expect the same level quality and economy purchases have received from the passenger line. So does this mean that Durun truck tyres will be retreadable? In short: yes. T&A has learnt that some Portuguese tyre dealers are already retreading Durun truck tyres.
Treadsetters also recently became a European distributor for, Chinese wheel manufacturer, Xing Min Group. This company carries TUV certification for all the wheels it sells into Europe, something which must have encouraged vehicle manufacturers. According to Treadsetters, the company has already managed to negotiate OE deals with “certain companies.” Roughly 9 months into the two companies’ distribution partnership, the volume of product flowing through this relationship is set to “increase dramatically.” As a company, Treadsetters grew 62 per cent last year. This has led to an expansion programme that will see the company move to a warehouse twice its current size in Telford, in order keep larger stocks.
