The Gentler Way to Change Run-Flats?
Hofmann, one of Snap-on Equipment’s brands, has redesigned its high specification monty 3300 racing tyre changer to handle run-flat and ultra high profile (UHP) tyres. Marketed as the gentle way to change run-flats, the new plus model enables a more gentile way of handling alloy rims through the use of plastic protectors fitted to the wheel mounting head and clamping jaws.
According to the company, an automatically tilting back post and ergonomically positioned foot control pedals ensure the new monty 3300 racing plus is also user friendly, along with the use of a self-centring four-jaw chuck controlled by two clamping cylinders for quick and accurate clamping.
Workshops interested in the new plus model can take advantage of a discounted ‘bundle’ offer from Hofmann distributors when purchasing the fully computerised geodyna 4500 wheel balancer at the same time.
Chris Behan, General Manager, Snap-on Equipment, commented: “As the number of cars on the road with run-flat and ultra high profile tyres continues to increase, so does the need to have the right equipment to change these tyres without risking costly damage. The new monty 3300 racing plus changer is an ideal, easy to use solution to this problem. Furthermore, our special bundle offer enables tyre shops to equip themselves with some of the best equipment in the business at a highly competitive price.”
