Rösler Gruppe Promotes ‘Re-Manufactured’ Tyres
With a freshly renewed corporate identity in hand, the Dortmund-based Rösler Gruppe, was primarily promoting the company’s OTR retread technology in Essen. But with pioneering developments in its Zeus tyre-fill division, the company certainly has more than one string to its bow.
The Rösler Gruppe’s Schelkmann brand is a name that is associated with premium pre-cure OTR tyre retreading. At a global level, the SPR (Schelkmann-Precured-Retreading) system currently gives the company a technological lead in supplying retreads for large EM tyres (25 to 27 inches). This still relatively new technology has already won favour in the mining industry, since it is extremely reliable and guarantees an extremely high level of safety. Tyres retreaded using the SPR system are designed to hold their own against premium new tyres in terms of service life, TKPH value and payload. In addition, this method significantly reduces costs per operating hour of these tyres in comparison with new tyres and other retread methods.
As a system supplier, Rösler offers this solution to overseas clients in the form of a turn-key project from a single source, allowing companies to install large EM tyres themselves locally. SPR systems can already found in Germany, England, the Czech Republic, Australia, Indonesia and Uzbekistan. Further units are in the process of being set up in Kazakhstan and other locations.
In 2006, Rodos presented the versatile Winstone radial tyre as a new product idea for the first time. Since then, these special tyres have proved themselves in terms of quality many times over as well as providing exceptionally balanced value for money. In the manufacturing process, the special profile is applied to so-called ‘green-casings’ (semi-finished carcasses products from Europe). For this, the carcasses are ‘processed’ at the Dortmund factory and are given a high-grade rubber mix. The Winstone radial tyre product range stretches from 15.5R25 – 26.5R25 for loaders and dumpers (which are also available with special winter profiles) right up to 16.00R25 crane tyres.
The quality of these products is demonstrated by the fact that in the last year, many successful users and original equipment suppliers have taken delivery Winstone radials from the Rösler Group. These include JCB, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of heavy-duty machines.
