Pirelli Expresses ‘No Interest’ in Conti Acquisition

Pirelli & C SpA has distanced itself from speculation over the potential sale of Continental AG or its tyre division. The Italian company, who along with Bridgestone and Yokohama has been named as a possible contender for Conti, denies any such acquisition is planned or desired. On July 17 a Pirelli spokesperson stated “we have had no direct or indirect contact and have no interest in either Continental or its tyre division.”
