Conti Increases Stake in Continental Matador
Continental has increased its share in Continental Matador Rubber following a July 1 agreement to transfer an additional 15 per cent of Continental Matador shares. Following the transaction the Continental Group holds 66 per cent of shares in Continental Matador Rubber.
The Slovakian based company says that the acquisition of additional shares will not have an affect on the company’s day-to-day operations, as Conti has held full management control since reaching the 51 per cent share ownership threshold in November 2007. Matador states, however, that this additional acquisition shows the Continental Group’s commitment to investing in the Slovak Republic’s Puchov region.
