New Goodyear Dunlop Europe Truck Tyres Marketing Director
Boris Stevanovic has been appointed Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe BV marketing director for truck tyres, and in this role will be responsible for the company’s operations in this sector within Europe. He takes over from Pietro Saletta, who moves to Italy and begins as the company’s European director of Consumer Tires.
Stevanovic was born on May 22, 1971 in Sevres, France, and completed his MBA degree at the London Business School. Prior to joining Goodyear, he worked as a consumer goods distributor for East European markets and following this in various roles for fast moving consumer goods companies. He began his career with Goodyear in the marketing department as a business specialist in Turkey, dealing with, amongst other activities, building up the motorcycle tyre business there. In 2005 he transferred to Dubai to become marketing manager and Dunlop sales manager for the Middle East and Africa region. He built up the regional marketing department from scratch and established a marketing and communications team that focuses upon making the Goodyear brand better known in these markets.
Stevanovic, who is based in the Goodyear Dunlop EMEA headquarters in Brussels, said: “I am very pleased that I am now part of such a strong Goodyear Dunlop Europe division with a professional team, both regional and local. I shall be pleased to continue my predecessor’s work towards establishing our marketing activities in the market. At the same time, I will work together with our research and development team at the centre to continue bringing new tyres onto the market that meet the needs of our customers and reduce operating costs.”
