Chicago Pneumatic Increases Socket Range
Chicago Pneumatic has announced a large extension to the company’s existing range of sockets. The addition of 500 individual sockets and 16 new sets represents a large increase in the product range available, encompassing in total 44 socket sets and 774 impact sockets.
Gary Rigg, the company’s UK business line manager comments that the update has been prompted by customer feedback: “we had some feedback from customers and distributors that a good impact socket line needs to cover all their needs in term of types and sizes. This is the reason why we drastically expanded the range. We also took this opportunity to improve the quality of the new impact socket line”.
The socket line features universal and magnetic impact sockets in a large range of metric and fractional (SAE) sizes for 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” and one inch impact wrenches, in standard, deep, universal and thin wall types. Made of chrome molybdenum steel, the line now features a phosphate manganese finish with durable laser etched labelling. The finish provides a better grip when put on the anvil of a CP impact wrench.
Also new to the range are the thin-wall wheel and nut protector sockets. These sockets are overlaid with a hard, durable plastic polymer that Chicago Pneumatic claims won’t damage customers’ expensive alloy wheels.
Founded in 1901, Chicago Pneumatic designs, manufactures and distributes a complete line of tools for the vehicle service industry.
