BTC Wins 3 Year Hill Hire Agreement
BTC, the management arm of the Bandvulc Group, has secured a three-year commercial tyre management agreement with Hill Hire plc, the hire and leasing specialists owned by the Bank of Scotland. With a value in excess of £20 million over its term, the agreement places management of Hill Hire’s tyre provision in the hands of BTC. Bandvulc reports that several value added factors played a role in its securing of the deal, including the provision of 24/7/365 coverage through BTC and the management of all activity in-house rather than via a third party call centre. The new tyres delivered under the terms of the agreement, Bandvulc adds, will be Continental products.
“This arrangement sees us managing a considerable and diverse fleet of vehicles across the whole of the UK” comments Philip West, Bandvulc Group sales director. “We have made some very unique and industry leading offers within our proposal, all of which will enhance Hill Hire’s offering to their customers. I also believe that what we are operating with Hill Hire presently is a first in the industry where we have become an integral part of the whole process. We will be working towards expanding our services beyond tyres in the future.”
Adam Fairbotham, operations director for Hill Hire adds: “The commercial tyre contract was one of the largest issued and as tyres are such an important part of our offering and costing we had to make sure the award was based upon many factors, not just product alone. BTC made a truly unique offering, which will enhance critical parts of our operation and improve our services and delivery to our customer base. On such a large contract it is also important to realise the potential and have confidence that what is being offered can be delivered. BTC’s development and commitment has been nothing short of commendable and I have no doubt we will continue to evolve our relationship into the future.”
Hill Hire operates 17 locations throughout the UK, all of which are serviced by BTC and its network of key partners. Transactions are managed via BTC’s central administration, which provides progress reports to Hill Hire throughout the operation and take cares of all external invoicing and payments to the network, facilitating a more straightforward and simplified process for Hill Hire.
