Koji Toyoda Becomes MD at Toyo Tyres

Toyo Tyres (UK) Ltd has announced that MD Tatsuo Mitsuhata will move to Toyo’s European Head Office in Germany to become vice president of Toyo Tire Europe GmbH, Toyo UK’s parent company. The move takes effect at the end of May.

As a result of the promotion, Koji Toyoda has been appointed as managing director in the UK, following authorisation at a board meeting at Toyo Tire Europe on 30 April 2008.

Mr Mitsuhata spoke of his fond memories of working in the UK: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere personal gratitude for your kind support, cooperation and friendship extended to me during my stay in the UK. My successor, Koji Toyoda, has extensive experience of working on our international business both inside and outside Japan, which included the role of managing director of our operation in the Netherlands.”

During his three-and-a-half year as MD, Mr Mitsuhata led Toyo to record sales growth and delivered significant profit contributions to the corporation, a company statement noted.

The Rainsport 2 is available in 51 sizes in rim sizes 14 to 19.
