Tyre Fitter Killed Changing Bus Tyre

Several media sources have reported the death on Thursday morning of a tyre fitter in Greater Manchester. It is believed that 37-year old Jason Carroll from Jay’s Tyres was changing the wheel on a bus belonging to Bolton School when the jack gave way, trapping him under the vehicle. Paramedics and the fire service were called but Mr. Carroll died at the scene.

In a statement, the school said it was “deeply shocked at this terrible tragedy” and that it was cooperating fully with all the relevant authorities in the matter.
