Michelin Extends XZM Tyre Range Warranty

Michelin claims to be only manufacturer in the world offering to guarantee the longevity of its forklift tyres, and this unique warranty offer has now been extended. Following the implementation of the warranty offer on tyres in the UK, Spain, the Benelux countries, France, Italy and Sweden, Michelin’s warranty system is now being extended to Australia for 8 to 15-inch tyre sizes.

The XZM radial forklift tyre, reports Michelin, delivers at least twice the tread life of flexible solid tyres and cross-ply tyres. And the tyre major is confident this is more than merely a claim; Michelin guarantees that its tyres will last twice as long. And if they don’t, the company will reimburse the difference, based on the pro rata purchase price.

Michelin is also adding a satisfaction guarantee, whereby users have 90 days to return their XZM tyres and get their money back. This second guarantee has been tested and Michelin is confident the results speak for themselves, with fewer than 10 tyres returned for 10,000 sold. The company claims that its XZM lifespan warranty is backed, reports Michelin, by three performance criteria, namely unmatched longevity, exceptional resistance to intensive use and harsh conditions due to its steel radial casing and tubeless bead seal, and superior shock and vibration absorption.
