Correction: VDB Set for Growth with New Facility
The inclusion of the Wanli name and the mentioned UK sales figures in the previous Tyres & Accessories e-Newsletter on Van den Ban (08/04/08) were erroneous. We wish to clarify that this brand is not supplied by Van den Ban. In addition the name of Van den Ban’s budget brand is BCT, and not PCT as mentioned in the same article. Tyres & Accessories apologises for any confusion this may have caused.
With Van den Ban sales figures increasing daily, the company is in the process of building new and larger premises. Van den Ban’s new warehouse will be 24,000 m2 and together with its existing container terminal of 20,000 m2, Van den Ban will be able to hold between 1.5 and 2.0 million tyres in stock.
These tyres include a number of exclusive and private labels that Van den Ban has become well known for within Europe, such as the exclusive Silverstone range. This Malaysian manufactured line-up entered the Van den Ban portfolio early this year and includes PCR and UHP tyres. At a later stage SUV and Van tyres will be added to the range. The Silverstone Synergy M3 is available in 10 sizes for 13 and 14-inch rims, while the high performance Evol8, also from Silverstone, comes in 29 H, V and W rated sizes for rim diameters between 14 and 19 inches.
Also offered by Van den Ban are private labels Blackstone tyres, formerly known by the Flamingo name, and Novex with an extended range of PCR and SUV tyres. In combination with the budget brand BCT, Van den Ban’s stock is even more comprehensive. These brands, along with all premium brands offered by the Netherlands-based supplier, are dispatched on a weekly basis in the UK by the company’s own fleet of trucks.
