Aftermarket Trio Sign Up to MAM Autonet
MAM Software, a leading UK provider of aftermarket IT solutions, announced on March 28 that three aftermarket automotive suppliers – Pearl Automotive, Solid Auto (UK) Ltd and Sovereign Rotating Machines are installing MAM’s Autonet B2B Seller electronic trading solution to power their e-commerce initiatives. Their participation takes the total number of suppliers Autonet-enabled to almost 70.
Autonet B2B Seller will integrate with each supplier’s existing MAM Autopart systems and allow them to trade electronically with their individual motor factor customers. Autonet B2B Seller is fully compliant with the recently announced PACT protocols and will, says MAM, allow communication with most systems currently used by motor factors, including MAM’s own Autopart.
Autonet B2B Seller is one of a suite of solutions from MAM Software that enables online connectivity between aftermarket trading partners. The suite comprises:
Autonet B2B Seller
For suppliers selling to motor factors
Autonet B2B Buyer
For motor factors buying from suppliers
Autonet Online
For motor factors selling to workshops
MAM’s Autonet suite provides buyers with real-time product and price information, and enables purchases to be made and confirmed electronically. MAM believes that by eliminating telephone, fax and paper-based communication, transactions are more efficient and not susceptible to rekeying errors.
“At Pearl, we have always had a strong customer focus, and we have worked hard to build a reputation for delivering a quality service at all levels,” said Peter Ground, Pearl Automotive customer services director. “We chose Autonet because it will integrate fully with our existing MAM system and, thanks to its flexibility, will be compatible with the majority of our existing customers and potential new ones in the marketplace.”
“Autonet will save us time processing orders and provide us with even more reliable data. With Autonet, we can respond more quickly to sales opportunities, and deliver a seamless, high quality service. This will enable Solid Auto to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty and maximise our relationship with each customer, adds Jean Bayliss, finance director of Solid Auto.
“The Autonet solution will allow us to significantly streamline our trading transactions.” Commented Richard Welland, Sovereign’s managing director “We can reallocate resource within our sales department due to the increased efficiency brought about by the elimination of tasks such as re-keying orders, clearing up errors and receiving faxes.”
“We see our suppliers experiencing a wide range of benefits, including streamlined order taking, comprehensive transaction traceability, and enhanced customer service” comments Mike Jamieson, managing director of MAM Software. “We are very pleased that these businesses have elected to join our growing community of Autonet-enabled suppliers.”
