Yokohama HPT Introduces Award-Nominated Wheels

Yokohama HPT Ltd, he UK distributor for Yokohama tyres and TSW and MAK alloy wheels, has announced the introduction of a brand-new range of aftermarket replacement alloy wheels. The TSR range is designed to provide style and value for money within the wheel replacement market and has already caused a stir by being nominated for the Product Innovation Tyre & Fast Fit (TAFF) award. All four of the new TSR wheels will be available through Yokohama HPT’s nationwide dealer network, in the first quarter of 2008. Prices are to be confirmed.

Managing Director of Yokohama HPT Ltd, David Seward, said; “We are naturally delighted that the TSR range has been nominated for a TAFF award. We feel that this is the perfect recognition for the objectives of the TSR range of wheels, offering style and performance to the consumer while providing an excellent opportunity for the retailer to offer a superb product and exceptional value for money.”

The first design on the market is the Ascari. This uses six pairs of widely-spaced spokes, running from the large centre flange to the edge of the wheel rim. As they flow out, they bow outwards before curving back in to the rim, lending huge presence to any car fitted with them. The Ascari is available in both 15-inch and 17-inch sizes and comes finished in silver.

The Pomona is a smooth five-spoke design, again with the chunky spokes running to the very edge of the wheel rim to maximise the sense of size. The hard-edged spokes give the Pomona an aggressive feel yet allow it to retain a feeling of style and modernism. The Pomona is available in 15 – 17-inch sizes and is also finished in silver.

Third in the new range is the Crosse. This is another five-spoke wheel but with the spokes meeting the wheel rim on the inside of a lip. This has the effect of enhancing the perceived size of the wheel while ensuring that there is plenty of presence, for cars that require lots of metalwork in their arches. Again, hard edges on the spokes create an aggressive feel but without detracting from the overall style. The Crosse comes in 15 and 17-inch sizes and finished in silver.

Finally, the Sugo is a motorsport-inspired design. Featuring seven pairs of spokes running to the edge of the wheel rim, it will give any car an instant racetrack feel while always retaining style and flair in equal measure. The Sugo is available in 15in and 17in sizes and finished in silver.
