Smithers Heads to China

Akron-based Smithers Group has opened an office in Shanghai, China. The company provides independent testing, consulting, and contract research organisation to the tyre and rubber industries. The new office in Shanghai will serve Chinese tyre and rubber companies, Smithers said. The company has hired Lin Yang as director of business development for the greater China region, and he will head up the Shanghai office. (Tire Review/Akron)
