Prestivo Brand Drives Taylor Tyres’ Sales
Prestivo, one of the private brands in leading wholesaler Stapleton’s PCR portfolio, is reportedly bringing great sales benefits to too South West retailer, Taylor’s Tyres. Offering high performance and a comfortable ride, the range is available in two tread patterns, Prestivo 2000 and Prestivo Sport.
Cornwall-based Taylor’s Tyres is a long-standing Stapleton’s customer and has been stocking the Prestivo range since it was introduced in autumn 2006. The business is well established in the area and recently located to a new site offering car, motorcycle, truck and commercial tyres, including forklift trucks and tractors, as well as batteries, shock absorbers, brakes and exhausts.
Taylor’s Tyres offers both the Prestivo 2000 and the Prestivo Sport ranges to offer customers a wider choice. Director Robert Taylor says: “I have worked in the tyre trade for some years and can usually tell by the look of a tyre how well it will perform. I was very impressed with Prestivo right from the start as it both looks and performs well.
“A lot of our business is from repeat customers so it is important that we deliver a high level of service and provide quality products to ensure that they do come back to us. With Prestivo, we know we can offer the very best product at a price the customer is happy with.” Taylor believes in Prestivo tyres so much he even uses them on his own car. He continued by explaining that exclusivity is also a huge factor: “Because I know that Prestivo is not available locally elsewhere it gives me a real point of difference from my competitors and allows me to offer customers something no one else in the area can.”
Taylor’s Tyres has used Stapleton’s to supply tyres for over 10 years and Robert Taylot says it is the fact that Stapleton’s values the strong relationship and the quality of service that makes the difference: “They sort everything out for me and I can have next day delivery which is vital when we’re busy. ProfitLink is also useful as it allows us to check availability and pricing online before ordering, even though I still prefer to place my order by phone.”
Prestivo tyres are available exclusively through Prestivo Partners, a partnership scheme created to ensure all retailers receive the backing and support they need to maximise sales of Prestivo Tyres. Prestivo Partners enjoy attractive rebates, branded clothing, in-store support including posters, POS materials and other branded support items.
Stapleton’s trading director, Steve Parker, says: “We’ve invested heavily in marketing the Prestivo range and the partner package is just one aspect. Partners will get all the support they need and the profit margin will be attractive for them too.”
