Michelin Plant Gets Environmental Recognition

Michelin North America’s Norwood, N.C. aircraft tyre plant was recognized for its environmental achievement by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. William Ross Jr., secretary of the NCDENR, presented the award to Michelin’s Randy Stroman during an awards ceremony last week at the plant. The NCDENR’s Environmental Stewardship initiative is a voluntary program designed to stimulate the development and implementation of programs that use pollution prevention and innovative approaches to consistently meet and go beyond regulatory requirements, said MNA.
