Lucky Number
Move over Twelve…..Thirteen has arrived! This intriguingly named product is in fact the latest alloy wheel from German manufacturer Oxigin, and is follows on from the “Twelve” series rim. The one-piece “Thirteen” design is a five-spoke wheel with a high load-bearing capacity, making it suitable for use on heavy vehicles.
A particularly eye-catching feature of the Thirteen, says Oxigin, is the contrast between the wheel spider sections, which are painted in a high gloss, black finish (Higloss-Black), and the sections with a 2D-front-brushed finish (Face Diamond-Cut). The latter produce an additional spider that is turned inwards and whose “gleaming rays” point towards the wheel centre.
As previously mentioned, the design of the new wheel is paired with the ability to accommodate heavier loads – with a load-bearing capacity of 880 kilograms per wheel the Thirteen can be used on vehicles such as the VW Touareg. Owners of the VW Transporter van will find the Thirteen a particularly “friendly” product, as the Oxigin Thirteen can be used on this type of vehicle with the original VW wheel studs.
The OXIGIN “Thirteen” design is available in the dimensions:
7.5×17″ (wheel stud spacings: 5×98/100/110/112/114.3),
8×18″ (wheel stud spacings: 5×98/100/110/112/114.3/120)
8.5×19″ (wheel stud spacings: 5×108/110/112/114.3/120) for 5-hole applications.
The Thirteen comes with a TÜV certificate for all standard vehicles, and Oxigin provides a three-year warranty on its German made wheel rims.
