Universal Chooses Credential
The South East’s largest independent tyre distributor, Universal Tyre and Autocentres, has handed a two-year contract to market-leading Credential Automotive for waste tyre collection from its 15 depots. Established in 1923, Dartford-based Universal supplies, fits and services cars, trucks, agricultural, earthmoving vehicles and motor cycle tyres for private and fleet owners. The profile fits neatly with Credential’s model, according to the company.
Commenting on the contract, Universal’s sales development manager Simon Wright said: “Wherever possible, we seek business partnerships that reflect our own high levels of service and Credential fits the bill in all respects, with strong data reporting facilities and agreed performance levels.” Credential director Steve Patterson added: “It’s refreshing to form business relationships with like-minded companies. We’ve invested substantially in all our facilities to enables us to handle major contracts efficiently and through environmentally sound processes and that’s exactly what we will be doing with Universal.”
