Parker Hannifin Releases New Gen Nitrogen Inflator
The Process Filtration division of Parker Hannifin, the world’s largest manufacturer of motion and control technologies, has launched the latest version of its TyreSaver self-contained nitrogen generation system. The benefits of substituting air with nitrogen within a vehicle’s tyre are well known and use of the gas can improve both vehicle safety and efficiency. The TyreSaver system works by separating nitrogen and oxygen from the atmosphere by means of a compressor and specially developed hollow fibre membrane filters. The system is compact, simple to use and energy efficient as it needs only a low operating pressure for the membrane filters to function effectively. Furthermore, as there are no moving parts TyreSaver is said to be extremely reliable and requires only minimal maintenance.
TyreSaver is available in four different generator sizes, and tyre filling capacity varies according to model; Parker Hannifin reports that between six and thirty-five 385/65R22.2 truck tyres at a pressure of 9 bar can be filled per hour, depending on the model chosen.
