MMH Supplying Eldan Equipment at Home and Abroad
West Sussex based marketer and distributor of recycling equipment, MMH Recycling Systems, reports it is continuing to supply top quality equipment for the tyre recycling industry through its partnership with Danish manufacturer Eldan Recycling A/S. During 2007 MMH supplied new equipment to four recycling facilities, and in the coming few months several more plants, currently under production, will be delivered to UK customers.
The company provides a complete service to its customers, which can include designing, building and commissioning everything from a single machine to a complete, highly automated, tyre recycling plant. Equipment supplied by MMH Recycling Systems and used by many successful tyre recyclers employs a simple, reliable and cost effective method of shredding & granulating tyres and separating the resultant rubber, steel and fibres.
In addition to the company’s range of Eldan primary shredders, raspers, granulators and separators, a new tyre wire baler is available. Steel wire from tyres has traditionally presented a problem because of the difficulties that can arise during its compaction. However retaining the wire in its loose form can lead to costs imposed for its removal from the recycling facility. The new MMH Buffalo Tyre Wire Baler changes all of this, the company says, as it produces neat compact bales (200 x 200 x variable) that are easy to transport and melt into new steel products. The first machine is already in operation in the UK with a leading tyre recycler, and MMH expects further machines to be supplied this year.
The partnership between MMH Recycling Systems and Eldan Recycling A/S of Denmark extends to the company’s overseas markets. MMH supplies tyre recycling equipment throughout Europe, and the company also maintains offices in South Africa and Australia.
Eldan supplies to the largest tyre recycler in Europe, with seven individual granulation plants set up in Germany. Another is now operating in China. With over 50 years of experience, Eldan has supplied more than 600 Turnkey systems and 5000 Single machines delivered worldwide. Eldan tyre recycling equipment is capable of processing whole car and truck tyres, including super singles, and earthmover tyres. The de-beading of tyres prior to processing is not required with an Eldan unit. One of the company’s most recent products is the Multi-Purpose Rasper (MPR), which has been introduced in three different size and capacity specifications. The MPR has a wear resistant hardened steel rotor, and the main rotor housing is lined with replaceable wear plates as standard.
