Michelin Expresses “Satisfaction” Over Toul Factory Agreement
In a statement dated February 18, Michelin has “expressed its satisfaction” following an agreement reached between the company and labour unions. According to Michelin, this agreement enables the “continued deployment of support measures for employees at the Toul plant in conditions that are conducive to moving the discussions forward.”
In the aftermath of the employee organised lock-in, an inspection of the facility was scheduled for the morning of February 19 to “ensure that access, safety and production quality conditions have been re-established so that the plant can resume normal operations.”
The company statement concluded by saying: “Michelin again expresses its relief following the release of the two negotiators, who had been held in the plant since last Thursday.”
