Revolution Opens In Style
Tuning company Revolution threw open the doors to their £1.4m premises in November and not only did the ‘Who’s Who’ of the tuning World turn up to help them celebrate, but also droves of their loyal customers. Yokohama rolled up with their full roadshow rig and tuned BMW demo car. Toyo presented the impressive Pontiac drag car of Malcolm Francis, and Buddy Club showcased their stunning DC5 Integra ATC racer. There really was something for everyone. Even KITT from the cult 1980s television programme Knight Rider put in an appearance! Also on hand were representatives and demo cars from the likes of Eibach, Koni and Whiteline.
Now in their tenth year of trading, Revolution M.D, Glenn Campbell took the brave step over two years ago to create a purpose built tuning ‘nirvana’ for petrol-heads all over Europe. Somewhere to come and check out the latest tuning and styling products, get knowledgeable advice from fellow enthusiasts – and of course get it all fitted in a comfortable, welcoming environment. The realisation of this dream is a modern superstore structure built to Campbell’s own design, set in a one-acre landscaped site – and with plenty of parking!
“It had to be a new-build.” explained Campbell. “We must have visited 50 potential buildings before we decided that we just couldn’t provide the customer experience we all wanted by converting an existing structure. There, you’re working around problems that you just don’t get with a clean sheet of paper. Our customers have been very good to us over the last decade and that’s why we’re re-investing to make things more pleasant for them. A coffee area, viewing gallery, a bespoke workshop with full alignment bay, I just want them to feel more involved with what we’re doing on their car.”
Many of the hundreds who turned up were blown away with the surgical workshop and plush showroom area. A visit to Revolution will not feel out of place for anyone with a six-figure supercar on the driveway. It’s well worth a trip whether you drive a Ferrari – or a Fiat; you’ll find the same reception in either case. Naturally, Revolution’s huge on-line and mail order customer base is also catered for with a custom-built pack-and-wrap area and dispatch bay.
