HiQ Supports Met Police Road Safety Work
HiQ, is lending its support to the Metropolitan Police in an effort to increase road safety. HiQ’s presence at a recent field test day in Essex allowed collision investigators from across the UK to carry out a series of vehicle handling exercises. A team from local fast fit centre, HiQ Strood, were on hand to change tyres and lower tyre pressure on a range of vehicles being used in the tyre pressure handling and wheel locking exercises.
The event organised on behalf of the Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators promoted the free and open exchange of knowledge between those involved in the field of investigating road traffic accidents.
Richard Auty, senior collision investigator, commented: “It’s vitally important that we conduct testing so that we can check the validity of accepted principles. Taking vehicles and giving them defects gives investigators the opportunity to see how they handle so that they can stand up in court and give accurate evidence. I would like to thank HiQ for providing, free of charge, their services. Without their help, this day would not have been possible.”
Farrell Dolan, HiQ commercial manager comments: “HiQ works hard to support road safety initiatives as part of its on-going commitment to providing the highest standards of service and safety. As the contract of choice to service and repair vehicles for the Metropolitan Police, we were only too pleased to lend our support.”
