Pro-Align Launches Mobile Aligner
Pro-Align has launched a mobile version of its popular Hunter DSP600 alignment system – the DSP600CM. Upon making is debut at the Mechanex show in Sandown, company representatives remarked that the Hunter DSP600CM imaging system offers “the same benefits as its ‘fixed column’ cousin, but with the added flexibility of being mobile between adjacent alignment lifts.”
The CM has the main camera column fixed to the side of the alignment console, this allows the technician to simply move the whole unit between adjacent alignment lifts. It is then located in position using with small floor plates.
According to the company, the aligner really comes into its own is when a workshop is particularly tight on space. In this situation the aligner/column can be stored to one side until required then moved into position for alignment jobs. Or, to increase efficiency and capacity, technicians can simply roll the console between alignment bays to initiate measurement on a second vehicle, whilst finishing service on the first or waiting for parts to be fitted.
Pro-Align’s Paul Beaurain commented: “We have found the DSP600CM is selling in higher numbers than expected and has proven to be very useful for customers with limited space. Even some customers with no space issues feel it gives future flexibility and have placed the order.”
