Varta Does Well In Awareness Survey
Johnson Controls, parent company of Varta, recently commissioned a survey to test trade awareness of starter battery brands. The survey was carried out by one of Europe’s most respected market research companies and covered eight European markets. 150 garages were selected randomly in each market and there was a 92 per cent response rate.
Interviewees were asked “which car battery brands do you know of, at least by name?” and, in the UK, Varta achieved 78 per cent awareness, with at or close to total awareness in five other countries. Just under 70 per cent of all garages surveyed shared a positive or very positive opinion of Varta, citing wide choice, high quality, good reputation and trustworthiness among the perceived values.
