Radial output in China to increase by 30%

Radial tyre output in China is expected to grow by 30 per cent in 2007 to around 235.3 million units, says Tan Yukun, vice secretary-general of the tyre chapter of the China Rubber Industry Association.

He says that by 2010 output will exceed 300 million, while bias tyre production will remain unchanged at 100 million. The dramatic growth of the country’s highway and transportation industry and the high increase in automobile exports are the reasons behind the robust demand for radial tyres.
